Plastic fabrication is broadly defined as any procedure utilized to fabricate, design, or construct products made of plastics or composites made out of polyethylene plastic and other materials containing plastic. Lamination is a process by which a plasticizer is employed to create a thin film over a substrate that has already been moulded or formed into shape.

A plasticizer is also responsible for applying adhesives, sealants, and UV curing agents to various plastics to ensure their optimum performance. The three main categories in plastic fabrication processes include extrusion moulding, hot plastic fabrication and cold plastic fabrication.
Ex extrusion moulding is one of the most common types of plastic fabrication that uses injection mould technology to build up parts from plasticized parts called moulds. There are two basic types of moulding: hot moulding and cold moulding. Hot moulding is generally used to build up intricate shapes, while cold moulding is more often used for producing more generic parts such as caps, buttons, and other functional features. The plastic parts may be of any shape, size, thickness or material.

The wide variety of plastic fabrication methods available to manufacturers and engineers is an inevitable practical requirement to meet the demands of a wide variety of clients. It can be used in various industries such as automotive and electronics manufacturing, to name a few. While the process may differ slightly from industry to industry, the quality of the end product is typically the same. There are many benefits to using this process, including cost efficiency, product quality, and the ability to customize services to client specifications. Plastic fabrication methods are steadily evolving. New techniques are continually being developed to meet consumers' increasing demand for high quality, durable and cost-effective products made from plastic.
