Senior Executive, IIH & COE - Ecosystem Development

The primary role is to manage innovation, technology transfer projects and Living Lab B activities like prototyping, testing and early scale-up.

Job Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
Technical competency in science, technology and innovation is an added advantage.
Project Management Professional or similar certification is an added advantage.
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
Able to work on multiple projects and teams.
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and verbal).
Solid organisational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
Minimum of 7 years of working experience in project management or related management.
Some experience in marketing, business development and client management.
Experience working in the public sector or dealing with government agencies.
Management competencies include interpersonal skills, people management skills, project management, business writing, networking and marketing skills.
Technical competencies such as Living Lab management, including support programme and services, market research skills, knowledge in science, technology and innovation fields or industry verticals, and experience as a business analyst or Technology Analyst.
Hands-on experience in Autonomous/Electrical Vehicles, Bioscience, 5G, 4IR and Engineering/ Electrical.
Hands-on experience in technology innovation, proof of concepts, prototyping, testing and scale-up.

Responsibilities

Serve as the central point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for projects assigned to ensure all project activities fit with the strategic and IIH Portfolio.
Establish, lead and grow the assigned project under the International Innovation Hub, which requires processes for operationalisation and expansion to support the IIH strategy.
Perform and coordinate the research and development work, including industry research to identify technology adoption either through emerging technology or existing technology
Execute and coordinate proofs-of-concept, trials and pilots of emerging technology related with, identifies opportunities and any issues and determine whether further implementation should be considered based on feasibility and potential return of investment in support of the business.
Evaluate technologies by the aspects of technology maturity, risk of new technologies, fit with the Living Lab cluster/plan and potential to provide additional value.
Initiate collaboration and establish partnerships with partners/collaborators through new ideas or solution delivery division to accelerate the delivery of the Living Lab cluster.
Perform activities related to the Living Lab focusing on the International Innovation Hub and Centre of Excellence for showcasing and delivering potential technology innovation.
Lead and provide facilitation for companies/startups to be part of the developmental programs and support them to develop prototypes, testing/validation and scale-up process under Living Lab.
Support the planning of annual budgets based on innovation hub projects derived across internal and external parties.
Support and conduct business discussions with senior management on Living Lab for prioritisation of use cases, budget, and business process to support the ongoing implementation of the Living Lab project to achieve the outcome required.
Work closely with the inter-department in the organisation team to deliver the project.
Provide progress reports on projects to management for prompt decision-making. Ensure the evaluation strategy for the project is implemented in accordance with programme standards and report likely variations from the target.
