GENOMAS is a company that is primarily established to venture into genomic market in Malaysia. GENOMAS aims to expand its presence in this industry sequentially up the supply chain of genomic industry i.e. from the point of acquisition, DNA sequencing, DNA analysis, DNA data-banking, applied DNA research and proteomic analysis. This is our anticipated journey and activities for the next 5 years. However, we do understand that growth is not abrupt and it requires a gradual methodical process to build a brand presence, and at such we will commence this project first through genetic data acquisition, genetic data sequencing and genetic data analysis catered in a Direct to Customer (DTC) basis. These will be our principal activities for the first 2 years. Our secondary activities will include collaborative formulation of data protection protocol, data management, data handling and transfers to set a strong and credible foundation ahead of achieving a truly Malaysia genetic data-bank and Malaysia genetic grid. To empower GENOMAS in executing the above activities, GENOMAS will be joining hands with National Sports Institute of Malaysia (ISN) as equity partners in order to initiate a genuinely transparent process for what will be a project that amounts to a national asset in the nearest future. Upon the signing of MOU with ISN, GENOMAS will immediately begin its activities in sandbox environment to collect and process the genetic samples of 10,000 Malaysian population with equal representation of Malaysian ethnic communities, in order to create the first major template of Malaysia genetic data grid.
