SMG Innovation Challenge
SMG Innovation Challenge is a platform by Selangor Maritime Gateway (SMG), a Selangor State Government project, to discover green innovations to develop breakthrough technologies that can convert river waste from the Klang River into functional sustainable products with commercial value. Championing river waste as a resource in the creation of a circular economy is in line with the state government’s waste recovery agenda to divert waste from landfills.
In collaboration with MaGIC's Social Impact Challenge Accelerator (SICA), selected winners can expect to access funds from a pool of RM50,000 to refine their technology and exclusive access to an impact-focused accelerator programme. Post accelerator, the technology and products that best demonstrate the solution to the challenge, with the strongest business potential will be announced as the winner and may be offered a grant of RM100,000 with R&D support from SMG!
