AGRICULTURE CERTIFICATION COURSE (IPSM)

There are a total of seven (7) Agriculture Institutes established in Malaysia in which five (5) of these institutes are located in Peninsular Malaysia and is better known as the Peninsular Malaysia Agriculture Institute (IPSM), while the other two are  situated in east Malaysia, in which one in Sabah and the other in Sarawak.  All the 5 Agriculture Institutes in Peninsular Malaysia are placed under the Human Resource Development Division Department of Agriculture Peninsular Malaysia.     While the Agriculture Institute that is situated in Sabah and Sarawak are both placed under their respective State Department of Agriculture.

The Agriculture Institute Certification is already recognised as equivalent to Polytechnic Certificates (Technical) and Polytechnics under the Ministry of Education Malaysia on January 18, 1996 by the Public Service Department.

Objectives:

• Train skilled graduates in agricultural technology.
• Provide basic entrepreneurial necessities in the field of commercial agriculture
