Bumiputera Entrepreneur Product Marketing Scheme at Hypermarkets

This programme was introduced in 2003 with the objective to expand the opportunities for entrepreneurs to market their products in hypermarkets / supermarkets. It also aims to establish cooperation between entrepreneurs and the hypermarkets / supermarkets. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Carrefour, Giant, Jusco, Mydin, Tesco, The Store, Sunshine and UO Superstore supermarkets.

This promotion programme was held throughout the year in selected locations. Each programme was held for two weeks to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to promote and market their products. The products that received high demand and gain high sales throughout the promotional period will have the chance to be permanently listed in the supermarket. The supermarket will conduct an assessment in terms of production capacity, financing, product quality, packaging, labelling, sales performance and the entrepreneurs’ commitment to ensure that SME products are able to compete with other products that have long been in the market.
